The Mt Cook Alpine Salmon Shop is on the Alps 2 Ocean Cycle Trail at the southern end of Lake Pukaki. Stop by to enjoy the iconic views, picnic tables, ice cold drinks and the range of salmon products on offer.
Our Freshwater King Salmon has been raised in nearby canals, the water flowing straight from the Southern Alps. This glacial, highly oxygenated water and the distinctive touch of the seasons, creates a special salmon delicacy.
Mt Cook Lakeside Retreat
Dining at Moraine Lodge is to savour the tastes of nature. Step into an uncomplicated world where food is real, the soil, air and water are pure and your dining experience is designed to honour those elements to the fullest.
The Retreat’s cuisine is rooted in what comes from our two large vegetable garden and the local suppliers of our region. High Country Salmon
We are a 100% New Zealand family owned salmon farm, operating within the glacial waters of Ohau hydro canal, 3km south of Twizel.
We grow and sell glacial mountain salmon (chinook), processed on site and for sale in our shop, floating cafe and online.

Lake Ōhau Lodge
Lake Ōhau Lodge is ideally placed between two of the Alps 2 Ocean Cycle Trail’s scenic highlights - the shores of Lake Ōhau, and Lake Ōhau Lodge to Quailburn. It is the perfect spot for a lunch stop or overnight stay.
Established in 1951, the Lodge is uniquely Kiwi in style with a special reputation for high country hospitality and contemporary high country food. The lodge, with restaurant, bar, spa pools and tennis court has beautiful views from the rooms overlooking the lake up to Aoraki Mt Cook.

Otematata Eatery, Bar & Lodging
Otematata Eatery, Bar & Lodging is located within Otematata township, on SH83. There is a variety of accommodation options available, from recently refurbished apartments to country style pub rooms.
A full restaurant and bar is on site, offering a wide range of kiwi cuisine, specialising in Low & Slow Cooked Meats.
River-T Estate Wines
River-T Wines is a small boutique vineyard with a mix of grape varieties, on the banks of the Waitaki River near Kurow.
Enjoy top Waitaki wine and food while overlooking the beautiful views of the vineyard and beyond to the mountains.
Waitaki Braids Lodge is a historic building, built 1888 in Kurow's town centre, close to the Waitaki River and Alps 2 Ocean Cycle Trail.
Our seven, peaceful rooms offer a private ensuite and conservatory, with individual access to our outdoor area – a great place to relax on a hot summers evening, or to watch the brilliant night skies. Rooms can accommodate 1-3 people with double, twin and triple room options.

The Fort Enfield
The Fort Enfield Tavern is more than just your classic Kiwi Pub. 'The Fort’, located 10 minutes drive from Oamaru and 12km from the end of the trail, is the heart of the local community and a compulsory stop for hungry and thirsty Alps 2 Ocean cycle trail bikers.
