We also showcase items from some of our fabulously talented local crafts people, from the ever popular wooden signs made right here in Twizel by the talented team of Willy and Ian, to the beautiful 100% Merino knitwear for children, made in Timaru. We specialize in as much local and NZ made gifts and souviners

Local books on the Mackenzie Country from local authors, as well as a large range of children’s book titles written by some of our local ladies, baby bootees and bibs...if you are looking for something unique, then make the Musterers Hut Cafe and Gift Shop your first port of call in the Mackenzie Country.

Try your hand at Twizel's only full 18 hole mini golf course. Each hole is named after the local high country stations and farms such as Rhoboro Downs, Lake Ohau Station, Benmore and Glentanner Station.

Enjoy a coffee and snack on the Musterers Hut Cafe veranda while the kids challenge each other to a round of mini golf.

Complete with water way this challenging course will keep you entertained for hours!

The Alps 2 Ocean Cycle Trail is a grade 2-3 (easy to intermediate) cycle trail. There are a variety of trail surfaces. Riders are advised to take certain essentials with them (e.g. first aid, repair kit, water, food). Parts of the trail pass through alpine environments, where conditions can change.

Located in the South Island of New Zealand, halfway between Christchurch and Queenstown, is the Alps 2 Ocean Cycle Trail. It is recommended that you start your ride from Aoraki/Mt Cook - though there are numerous access points along the trail from which to start or end your ride.
