The Helicopter Line is New Zealand's leading helicopter company, operating with a feet of AS350 squirrel helicopters based at Mt Cook, Franz Josef Glacier, Fox Glacier, Queenstown and Fiordland. The scenic flights from these iconic locations will take your breath away as you discover that the stunning views of New Zealand's National Parks, glaciers, mountains, and lakes are always best from above!

For the Alps 2 Ocean transfer from our base at Glentanner we can take up to 5 passengers + 5 standard bikes or up to 4 passengers + 4 Ebikes (they are a bit on the heavy side). Total cost per load is only $550! That's only $110pp for standard bikes and $137.50pp for Bikes. We are the only helicopter company in the area who use specialised bike racks on either side of the machine to make sure your bikes are fully secured during the flight. The bikes fly with you and not underneath the helicopter!

At our base in Glentanner we also have a cafe on site, this is a good opportunity to fuel up on either barista coffee or cooked breakfast before your flight transfer. Because you are flying from Glentanner the flight is much longer, you will be in the air for around 6 minutes flying towards Aoraki Mt Cook over the Tasman braided river system. Glentanner is just 24km from Mt Cook Village, a good warm up on your bike before hitting the trail.

If you would like to add on a scenic flight with snow landing to your A2O trip please just ask one of our staff to assist in going over the options available.

We look forward to you starting your Alps to Ocean adventure with us!
