The Mt Cook Alpine Salmon Shop is located on beautiful Lake Pukaki - the perfect resting spot on the Alps 2 Ocean Cycle Trail, when on either the Alternative Route from Tekapo or Section 2 from Braemar Rd and Aoraki Mt Cook.

Stop by to enjoy the iconic views, picnic tables, ice cold drinks and range of salmon products on offer.

Our Freshwater King Salmon has been raised in nearby canals, which the Cycle Trial passes. The water in these canals flows straight from the Southern Alps above. This glacial, highly oxygenated water and the distinctive touch of the seasons, creates a very special salmon delicacy - a must try on on any travel ‘to do’ list!

Visit our shop for:

- Sashimi, fillets and whole salmon
- Hot smoked salmon
- Coffee and refreshments
- Picnic area and restrooms

As you head towards Twizel on the Cycle Trail, this will be your last opportunity to soak up the world famous views of Aoraki Mt Cook across the turquoise blue waters of Lake Pukaki.

Stop in to enjoy the moment and relax, refuel and recharge, before pressing on to your destination for the day.
