Funding Contributions

The Alps 2 Ocean Cycle Trail® would like to thank the following organisations for their generous assistance with funding:

“The Otago Community Trust is committed to supporting the development
of regional cycle ways across Otago as they help to provide employment
opportunities and ensure the sustained growth of regional towns”.

Barbara Bridger, Chief Executive, Otago Community Trust

Trust Aoraki is a not-for-profit community funding organisation. 100% Local is its catch phrase – 100% of available funds are invested back into local communities from where the funds are generated. Excellence and Participation are key drivers for funding decisions. Also, economic drivers, where facilities/events bring economic benefits to the local community.

The Lion Foundation are one of the largest funders of sport and recreation
across New Zealand. As a Trust our role is to partner with great organisations  like Alps 2 Ocean to provide opportunities for the community to get active and enjoy the natural playground New Zealand provides. On this basis supporting the Alp’s 2 Ocean Cycle Trail was an easy decision, hopefully we’ve helped open up another beautiful part of New Zealand to both the local community and the world.

A20 Ultra Charitable Trust

The objectives of the Alps 2 Ocean Ultra Community Trust are to improve the opportunity of North Otago, Waitaki Valley, and Mackenzie Country communities, with a special emphasis on the youth of this region.

Every year Network Waitaki invests in our local community through a wide range of projects, services or activities ranging from community health care, maintenance or upgrading sport facilities through to the greater involvement of those with disabilities, the arts or education.

'Giving Back' is an ideal way for us to celebrate and assist with the wellbeing, growth and development of our region.
